Need to search for an apartment to shift into. Yes, yet again!
Now for long, this has not remained uncommon. Every year i.e., every 11 months to be specific, I am out in the city searching for a 2BHK. Ofcourse, the mode for this search has changed over the years since i was a student. Roaming on the streets and greeting people along the way asking for rental properties and looking up for the ' To-Let ' boards are slowly giving way to the Online searches from the comforts of your seat on the Internet. The ways of this search have also changed according to the city. Metros and Tier 1 cities now need money to get you to the apartment that could possibly be adopted by you for the tenure. Then there is the Registered Rent Agreement requirement and the necessity of the Broker to achieve this almost impossible output from the rusted Governmental machinery. Society Maintenance charges are currently almost 10% of the monthly rentals but could be anything based on the amenities or location of the society in the city area. The Interest free security amount could be 3 to 5 times the monthly rentals.
Tier 2 cities are still warming up to many of these associated costs slowly but surely wanting to go the same path. But God! don't i miss the explorations of the city streets towards the unknown....!
But then they say...Change is Good!
Yet another chance to find out again, I say!
